This was no ordinary first year for our little boy. These last 12 months each marked a huge celebration and reminder that Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers. We all know before we came to our Earthly home that we would receive trials to test our faith and sometimes we'd have to let go of the outcome so that the Lord's Will could be done. Little Līloa's birth brought us the greatest test we have both had in our married lives. His birth 2 months early was a great surprise! Although, his lungs still hadn't developed fully, everything else seemed to be ok. For 2 and a half months (77 days) we waited for the rest of his tiny body to grow outside of me. We washed our hands more times than I can remember, became very familiar with our nicu family of nurses, and continued to pray that our son could come home with us soon.
