I couldn't believe how much smoke and ash these fires could create. Right now we're being smoked out and it's extremely hot here in Southern California. You can see from this satellite picture all the areas currently burning. Thousands of people are being evacuated and it almost feels like a ghost town here in Irvine.There's a fire right down the road from my office and some of the freeways are shut down.
When I drove into work on Monday, I could see the dark clouds of smoke looming over Irvine. But I didn't know how bad it was until I got to my office and I literally couldn't breathe.
I hope all this passes soon.
